Michiana Hematology Oncology Center photo update

A few weeks ago, I was notified that 9 images of mine had won positions on the walls of a new cancer care center. Click here to go back and see which ones won. I’ll say right now that upon winning, I was only told the positions where the images would be displayed with my name and title and nothing more. On with the update:

Last week, my friend named Gabi (from my days with the Michigan Marching Band) was home visiting her parents who happen to live very close to this new cancer care center. She graciously spent some time walking around the hospital and found 6 of the 9 photos! (I think the 3 that Gabi wasn’t unable to photograph are located in the patient quarters.) She posted the photos on facebook (and on her blog) and I was completely stunned. Not only are 3 of these images printed “super huge”, but two are very prominently displayed.

Oh man. How amazing! Apparently this one is the first thing you see when you enter.

I can’t believe how big these two are.

Nine of my photos to be displayed at Indiana cancer care center

On May 24th of this year my aunt told me about an opportunity for my photography to get more exposure. The Michiana Hematology Oncology cancer care center was having a contest for photography to be hung in their new building in Mishawaka, Indiana (here’s more info). I submitted 25 images.

Today I received an e-mail saying that NINE of my images had won! The nine winning images are displayed below. Click on the image to be taken to its flickr page where you can get larger sizes if you… say… want to use it as your desktop wallpaper :-) .

One last thing from the e-mail really excites me: “Two other MHO spaces, in LaPorte and in South Bend, will open later this year. We will keep your images for consideration in those spaces, as well.”

Enjoy!
